Characteristics of The Family Grain Mill

1. Burr Grinder
   This type of grinder has its grinding wheel made out of steel with small burrs protruding out of the sides to shear the grain into flour. It will grind dry grains as well as some minor oil-bearing seeds.

2. Adjustable Grinding with Mill
   There are several levels of grinding to choose: merely crack the grain, or grind to very fine flour in only one pass. The grain mill will grind: Wheat, Oats, Rye, Barley, Spelt, Buckwheat, Millet Corn, Rice, Kamul, Spices, Dried Herbs, Sesame, Soya, and much, much more!

3. Good base/attachment
   Both the motor and hand bases have locking mechanisms, which allow for ease of movement from one attachment to another. The base of the hand unit is made of wood and easily clamps onto a table or counter. The motor base has 4 non-slip rubber feet. Both bases are high enough for placing a bowl under.

4. Large Hopper
   Almost a gallon in size, the hopper holds five cups of flour, the largest known of any grain mill unit. Cleaning is simply by unscrewing the metal burrs and brushing with a pastry brush (do not immerse burrs in water). The plastic outer coverings may be hand washed and dried.

5. Quickly, Quietly grinds
   In about 4 minutes, three cups of grain berries may be ground into a fine flour. The noise level of the motor base is below normal compared to other electric grain mills.
